Skydiving @ Windobona with Niki Scharner

Last week I had a great experience and met someone very special: Niki Scharner is an admirable young man who, despite his handicap, has never given up. Among the many other sports he does, he loves indoor skydiving at the Windobona company in Vienna's Prater. www.windobona.at . This is flying in a vertical wind tunnel at an air speed of up to 280 km/h. In the process, you can learn and master various flight maneuvers. There are also regular competitions and international championships. This year he won 1st place at the Austrian Junior Indoor Skydiving Championships. It's fun to move freely like a bird and feel the sensation of weightlessness.

And I can only confirm that!! Bodyflying is one of the fast growing sports in Austria, at Windobona you can lose the ground under your feet with different flight packages. The situation is comparable to the free fall during a parachute jump from 4,000 meters! It is really unbelievable. Niki showed me how to do it. We then met again and he painted me a beautiful picture!

Thank you for letting me meet you Niki, you are truly inspiring!
