12 Oct Der Sprung ins kalte Wasser – Danube CleanUp mit Reefvillage
The Danube was once beautifully blue - unfortunately, not much of that can be seen anymore! Here, some things belonged to be disposed of properly and this is not only about waste, but also the rapid growth of underwater plants poses a great challenge to the city of Vienna. As an ambassador of the association Reefvillage I was very happy to participate in the Danube CleanUp Event - the jump into the cold water was really easy for me here. It's so important to keep the waters clean and to properly dispose of the things that don't belong. And even if it's just the proverbial "drop in the bucket," every move counts. Together with a team of 100 dedicated volunteers and divers and helpers, I was able to salvage over a ton of trash from the new Danube together with the 11-time world record holder in apnoea diving, Christian Redl. It's really crazy what has accumulated there! I can really ask you: dispose of your garbage only where it belongs and not just anywhere! Our earth exists only once, we must help together to bring this garbage problem under control! Thank you!
